Sleep Makes Everything Better

How Good Can It Be?

My husband and I started working with Kim when our twin babies were 9 months old. I was at rock bottom. Kim was so kind and the plan was so straightforward, I almost didn’t believe it could work. But it did. Our babies now sleep through the night and take two consistent naps throughout the day. I can be such a better mom to our babies and take better care of myself and our family now. We are so grateful to Kim and would highly recommend her to anyone seeking relief from sleep issues from a super competent and kind hearted guide.

I’m Kim Rogers, and I founded Sleeping Well Consulting in Asheville, NC in October 2016. Since then, I’ve helped over 400 families get the restful sleep they need.

I’m passionate about sleep. I know that families thrive when they are sleeping and they suffer when they aren’t sleeping.

I don’t buy the outmoded belief system that moms need to sacrifice sleep to be good moms. Only when we show up for life and each other, as well-rested, functioning humans, can we give our gifts to the world. And the world needs us.

Lucky for us, we can find sleep without leaving them to cry it out like in the old days. We can be there by their side, touching them, comforting them, and soothing them. Progress is fast, usually in a few nights.

I offer Sleep Packages from the prenatal period through the preschool years.

Here’s How It Works

1) You Tell Me Everything
About your child’s bedtime, nighttime, daytime, eating, and temperament. We talk about your goals and your ideal sleep scenario. I gather preliminary information during our 1-1 discovery call. After the call, I gather more in-depth information through an online questionnaire.

2) Together, We Come Up With Your Sleep Plan
I’ll write your plan based on our call and questionnaire. If you’re not comfortable with something, we talk about it and customize your plan further.

3) We Meet To Go Over Your Plan
We’ll go over your plan via a 1-hour Zoom Meeting or in-person meeting. We’ll answer any questions and talk about how I can support you while you start your plan.

4) Unlimited Support for Two Weeks (Or As Long As You Need Me!)
It won’t take long for you to see results. Most families see nighttime success in a few nights. They see nap success in a week or two. Nonetheless, I’ll be there as long as you need me to keep you on track. Log your child’s progress every day, and ask questions via your digital sleep log. Text me anytime and receive either a text or voicemail response. Reach out anytime. Get instant personalized 1-1 help with 4 phone calls during our time together.

5) Your Child Sleeps (And So Do You!)
And your child is set up for long-term success. I send along your “Survival Kit.” This is all the information you need to handle sickness, teething, travel and more. You’ll know what to do years down the road. And if you ever need me again, I’m there for you.

No “Cry It Out”
You don’t have to leave your child to “cry it out.” We’ll help your child go to sleep in the fastest amount of time with the least amount of stress. To do this, we’ll be building sleep pressure. We’ll also be working with your child’s natural sleep readiness. I will educate you on the signs of success that your child is learning to put himself or herself to sleep.

What About Night Feeds and Breastfeeding?

I’m often asked if breastfed babies can learn to sleep, and the answer is YES! It seems that breastfed babies feed even better when they aren’t asleep while feeding. It’s almost as if they are thinking, “Wow, mama’s milk is delicious!”

Unless a family wants to drop night feeds from the start, I like to set up babies so that they drop the feed on their own. With mindfulness towards the night feed, babies will drop the night feed when they no longer need it.

I don’t remove calories or drop feeds from a 24-hour period. Instead, I write plans to encourage babies to eat during the day. Families can even feed on demand if they choose.

I know how hard it is when your child isn’t sleeping. Your whole family isn’t sleeping. I know how difficult it can be to do something about it. Most of the time, when you’ve come to this place, you’ve already tried everything. If it’s any consolation, you can take comfort in the ones who’ve gone before you.

I write your plan with your child and your family in mind, to reduce stress and to help you meet your goals. It really does work. And it works in a matter of days so that you can be on your way to a healthy, thriving family once again.

We were very trepidatious about doing sleep training with our daughter, but within 3 nights of starting to work with Kim, our daughter slept 11 hours straight through the night and has been sleeping consistently through the night since then (she’s now 7 months old).  She seems happier, healthier, and much more well rested now.  We are tremendously grateful to Kim and feel like we have gotten our lives back.  We also feel like we are able to enjoy spending time with our daughter again which is the best possible gift we could ask for.
